Share a link

Recording does not upload anything. Sign in only when you want a URL someone else can open.

Publish

1. Sign in on the Roll dashboard with GitHub or Google
2. Stop a recording in the extension
3. Click Copy link (or Share link if you are not signed in yet)

Published files, including video, are hosted so anyone with the link can open the page. The public URL is /c/<id>.

Expiry

• Free links disappear after 7 days
• Pro ($29 once) keeps them until you delete them

Delete a link from the dashboard. That removes the hosted files. The copy on your machine is unchanged.

Local preview

A /c/<id> URL on this site also works for a recording ingested on this computer, even if it was never published. Use that for yourself. Send a published URL when the other person is not on your machine.

What we do not send

There is no Jira or Slack push from Roll. Copy the link, or point Cursor at the local MCP server. See MCP.
